If you are friends with me
then you know how much I love my MacBook Pro. It’s as important to me as a piece of fine jewelry, my
iPhone, or even treasured photographs.
The top is always flipped open and it seems there isn’t a day that goes
by I’m not typing out fashion interviews and reviews on the beastly
machine. (Several of my MacBooks
have lasted for years. Knock wood
it remains that way.) And for
years I’ve searched high and low for the perfect designer laptop bags. Many of them were either too manly or
overly blinged out. Who wants to
carry a laptop case with rhinestones???
I could see it appealing to the 13-year old crowd, but not a grown
workman woman. Yet at the same
time I did want something whimsical, just not with studs and bling.
Attractive designer laptop bags have
been a topic of many in the fashion set.
And somehow, increasing a laptop case’s price point doesn’t generally
increase its attractiveness; I’ve seen just as many ugly designer cases as
non-designer ones. It also seems
that brands use a different designer for tech cases and accessories rather than
their normal handbag designers.
That is possibly one of the biggest reasons the tech category of fashion
labels is so vastly different than their handbag line. So back in January, I was very happy to
receive an email from an editor friend.
She’d previously purchased a handbag and a macaron iPhone case from an
up and coming leather goods label called PLIA Designs.
The PLIA Designs Macaron
Laptop Case manages to buck the trend
and make an attractive, maybe even whimsical case to protect your MacBook Pro. I’m absolutely nuts about macarons so this print was
perfect. (I’d
love this print on a summer tote as well!) And if you are like my friend and already own several PLIA
Designs French pastry iPhone cases, then this laptop case is the perfect choice; A very chic and fashionable
choice.
Emblazoned with the same
macaron motif as its iconic iPhone cases, this canvas and leather case will
keep your laptop safe inside your school or work bag and look chic while doing
it. It can also be carried under
your arm like a clutch. If
you like to get practical mileage out of your designer accessories or if you
like the macarons but don’t want the iPhone case that everyone else already
has, this is laptop case is certainly not a bad way to go.
This case does have one
drawback that bears mentioning, though: the stops you will receive when
carrying this. It seems it’s so
popular; I can’t walk half a block without someone stopping me! I love sharing the design house behind
this laptop case and telling people how very well made it is. The craftsmanship is amazing. It’s padded very well which is
important and they went the extra length to insure the interior looked lovely
as well. It’s a work of art for
your laptop and a designer laptop bag that deserves to be shared. Hopefully you can get yours while you
can. They are super popular. Buy through http://www.PliaDesigns for $120.
