Chic Laptop Bags for Work

Several weeks ago I told a friend that I was searching for a new laptop bag for work.  I needed a laptop bag that was fashion forward and didn’t look dowdy.   She told me the best designer laptop bags and cases were from a leather goods company called PLIA Designs.  One weekend she came over to catch up on our favorite reality shows on BRAVO and she brought along some of her new purchases from PLIA Designs.  I was blown away.  These designer handbags and laptop bags were out of this world.  The craftsmanship was superb.  My bestie explained that a master craftsman makes each PLIA Designs’ products one by one from scratch.  They are not mass produced.

We logged onto PLIA’s website:  http://www.PliaDesigns.com and browsed their laptop collection called Glasgow.  I immediately fell in love with all of them.  Higgins the rabbit is so clever.   The design studio worked with a world famous artist to bring this illustration to life.  The artist painted Higgins from scratch on a canvas.  You can see a field of tall grass surrounding him.  The image is so different than anything I’ve seen in a very long time.  It’s a work of art.  Higgins truly looks like a painting in a museum. In fact, I’m going to email PLIA Designs and see if they will ever make copies to sell.  The back of this laptop bag is a hydrangea bush.  The hydrangea bush grows after Higgins hops away.  I also love that the sides and trim are made of real leather.

The macaron laptop case is so cute!  I LOVE macarons and they really come to life in artwork.  Again, this print looks like a piece of art hanging in a museum.  The stacks of macarons are so colorful.  It’s as if the artist went to Paris with her canvas and painted freehand in a bakery.  And you know these are called macarons, not macaroons.  There is no need, even if you are not French, to spell with with two “o’s.”  In the United States a macaroon is a totally different cookie.  Again, this beautiful laptop bag is trimmed in luxurious black leather.  The leather is Italian calfskin.  I know from my years in the fashion industry, this sort of leather does not come cheap.  It’s hard to find and ultra expensive.

PLIA Designs’ Kensington laptop bag is ultra chic.  The body on both sides is crafted with navy blue leather.  Posey Street is a high performance gorgeous green nylon. 

These designer laptop bags and cases are top of the line and ultra luxurious.  I cannot wait for my new laptop bags from PLIA Designs to arrive.  It should be any day now!  I will keep you posted.
